Thank you!
If you are anywhere near Ft Collins the Rocky Mtn Raptor Center can help and is designed for just this situation. https://www.rmrp.org/

the bighorn sheep in Curtis' shot is probably not going in the direction of the coyote in the background!

The osprey and peregrine languages are closely related and I was able to coax it into my car and take it home where it will be safe until the Department of Wildlife is able to pick it up. It has a broken right wing but hopefully it can be rehabilitated and resume it’s flying. C56794EA-CC03-464E-8C7B-199C916DB82B.jpeg
Do you know if the peregrine was able to be rehabilitated?

No. I sent a text to the rehab center about two weeks ago and have not received a reply.
I will follow up with them next week.

The peregrine was taken to the Southwest Avian Protection Services and examined by a veterinarian.
The right wing was completely shattered and the falcon had to be euthanized.
It must have been hunting near the highway and hit by a vehicle.
Totally sad.

Very sad and tragic, but you helped significantly so he wasn't suffering anymore. Thank you for the update!

Thanks, it was fun chasing the moth around to try and get some sort of composition.
