Did the Audubon-Paiute loop from Mitchell Lake trailhead, descending via Blue Lakes basin. No snow en route. In my humble opinion, there is nothing on this route, including the Audubon-Paiute traverse, that exceeds Class 2...for comparison, I would say that the standard route on Blanca, which is rated 2+, has quite a bit more scrambling and exposure than anything here. That said, it's a fun loop hike with beautiful scenery and rare solitude for this area - we saw no other people between the summit of Audubon and lower Blue Lake.

What time did you get there for parking? I know it fills up quickly. Thanks

I believe we got there sometime between 5:30 and 6. Plenty of spots available at that point. Finished around 1 to find the lot totally full.

I added a few photos of the route. Photo 1 shows the ridge to Paiute, Photo 2 looks back on the traverse from Audubon, Photo 3 shows part of the descent, with Toll on the left (we didn't go all the way to the Paiute-Toll col, but rather descended talus a little before the low point), and Photo 4 is Blue Lake.
