A bit convoluted. Instead of staying ridge proper, which is difficult due to extremely rotten towers near the "T 7"/"T 8" saddle, I dropped west well into the basin and traversed below the ridge, avoiding it entirely. There's a grass ramp leading down into the basin. Otina has a good photo of it in her trip report for these peaks (https://www.14ers.com/php14ers/tripreport.php?trip=12904). I then traversed on awful quality talus until I was passed the saddle, then went up grass until it ran out into steep hardpan and kitty litter under a blob of black rock on the "T 8" side of the saddle. The blob looked like it might be scrambly from below but was easy. Past that it was just a hike to the summit of "T 8".
To descend I went down "T 8"'s east ridge for a bit to where there was a break in the cliffs and then down steep and extremely loose dirt/scree. Several hundred feet of scree leads to grass and eventually to an old mining road in the basin. I followed the road back to the Idarado Mine gate and then from there went down US 550 to the mining overlook.
