The trench is in, we did a boat load of work putting it in. Please go use it. The snow was terrible, I was sinking to my knees with 36 inch powder snowshoes. 19.2 mile day

Even late fall/early winter this route is a snowshoe posthole route. Been there done that, nice work Bill. Doubt anyone (besides Amy if needed) poaches

Was this the "standard route" that takes you up the old "La Garita Stock Driveway" from Phoenix Park?

That looks like more or less the same route. I can't help but think there's got to be a better winter route because the snow just gets too deep on the north-ish facing side of the valley you follow after turning away from Phoenix Park.
