Full summer conditions throughout. Wildflowers seem to be in peak condition along the trail up lending to great scenery all around. The scramble was short and sweet. The class 4 move felt really easy, and the rest of it can honestly be kept closer to class 2, which is what we did on the way S - > N, but then we stayed ridge proper the way back for some better class 4 fun. Fun 13ers all in all, and great views all around.

Someone educate me though: I've been told the Arapaho Glacier is one of the few places in CO where you might find any semblance of crevasse activity (as well as the Fair Glacier), but it's in the Boulder Watershed off-limits area, so no one can actually go out there onto it. Just curious, do those look like small crevasses in my photos of the glacier, or am I going crazy?

Hey,

yes these are small crevasses. more like a bergschrund (where the glacier pulls apart vertically more so than horizonatlly).
So- do you ahve a pic of the class 4 move? is it one of those shown here?

cheers, mountainute

Yep! Pictures #11 and 12 are the class 4 move. Just a short slab that is overcome pretty quickly, and not as steep as it looks in pictures IMO.
