Great day to summit a 13er without needing to set an alarm - minimal wind, blue skies, plenty of parking at Loveland Pass!

Snow/ice was largely avoidable, and where it wasn't, it wasn't so slick/steep as to make traction an absolute necessity (but a good thing to pack just in case - 'better to have it and not need it than to risk needing SAR for your broken tailbone right off Loveland Effing Pass' and all).

Took pics of Sniktau, Grizzly, and the saddle between Griz and Torreys for anyone who's feeling more ambitious than I was and would find photos you have to enlarge and still squint at to be somewhat more useful than reading tea leaves/waiting for another CR.

Photos (click for slideshow):
#1) Sniktau looked somewhat snowier#2) Drier-looking “Cupid” appeared to be the way to go for maximal thirteenering ease#3) Probably the most sustained snow on route, just below 12,915 heading to “Cupid.” Snow wasn’t even ankle deep.#4) Grizzly to Torreys looks pretty dry.#5) Could be some postholing between “Cupid” and Grizzly

Thanks for the photos! Super helpful beta for this coming weekend...or should I say, lack of need for beta. So dry!
