|Peak:||Mt. Evans B (13er)|
|Route:||North ridge from Mosquito Pass|
|Date of Info:||01/13/2022|
Mosquito Pass is well groomed from the Leadville side thanks to heavy snowmobile visitation like always. Started from roughly 11,200ft making it an 8.75 mile day and 2500ft of gain.
We cut away from the road up near the power lines to gain the ridge more directly. Then booted the ridge on a mixture of tundra, trail, and light talus with a few small low angle snowfields.
Traction and floatation not needed although it got above freezing today so keep that in mind going forward.
Mosquito and Treasurevault looked to be in similar conditions going north from Mosquito Pass.
