TH to the first waterfall (approx 3 miles) is now cleared of all downed trees, 59 to be exact. Makes for a much more enjoyable stroll up to the Slabs. I did notice the trench fell off the main trail once, next to the last large boulder before the waterfall (approx 2.75 miles). Please don't follow the trench here, and stay on the main trail that should now have my tracks going through it. I did not climb the peak today, I'm sure conditions up high are no different from the previous post. Here are some of the bigger trees I nabbed today.

Seriously, you rock. This is dedication to the mountains at its finest. I don't know if I'll get back up Cottonwood for the Needle this season but thank you for the hard work clearing 59 trees - even higher than my estimate! True class act.

I live close by and use this trail pretty regularly, so its well worth the effort. In all, I was only cutting for about 4 hours.

Nice work! I made two winter trips up there but I should have waited! In December I broke a trekking pole whacking my way through some of those down trees haha

I would have guessed Rose karate chopped them all instead since it was so easy.

Thank you! I always wondered who cuts the trees while I'm out climbing. If you ever need a partner, I'd love to help.

What a selfless, class act. I always though that the CFI guys did all that great work. That's truly a very cool thing for you to do. Thanks for your selfless actions.
