Route: Mill Castle Trail Posted On: 2021-06-21, By: amandaefaithInfo: Summer conditions in the West Elk Wilderness. Creek crossing around 1.2 miles from the trail head required removing shoes, all other stream crossings were easy. One small snow field right as you gain Storm Peak Pass. Snow was soft enough we went over it with no traction but you could easily walk around it. Dry all along the ridge to West Elk's summit. |
