Hurricane Peak
Condition Updates
Route: From Tuttle Peak via Hurricane Pass

Info: From Tuttle's summit I descended the south ridge and joined a trail marked on Forest Service maps below spot elevation 12,953. The trail is faint and overgrown but saved me some time and elevation from dropping to the road on the east side of the ridge, as it instead stays high, crosses to the west side of the ridge, and joins the road higher up near the tri-junction at Lake Como in Poughkeepsie Gulch. I took the road to Hurricane Pass then took Hurricane's northeast ridge, which is mostly scree and talus, to the summit. It's steep in spots and footing is loose but it's Class 2 and has various trail segments throughout.
