Unnamed 13020 C
Condition Updates

Info: From the unnamed, unranked peak sitting between 13,510 and 13,020C, a sizable, broad cornice makes easy passage impossible. I suspect it will stay that way for several weeks. I didn't try it. Note: you are miles and miles from the road at this point. This hike is not recommended except with excellent weather as you will be exposed for many hours (80-90% of the hike). Also, it was quite grueling going uphill on the way back — even mildly — after 4 summits and now that the snow was soft in the afternoon. Snowshoes mandatory. While Snow Mesa is up and down, you will notice the “up” parts especially, after your long day bagging the peaks!

Info: There's a talus-laden sub-summit of Point 13,510 A to climb over en route to 13,020 C. It descends steeply on the east side. Once you're on top of 13,020 C the easiest way to get back to the Colorado Trail is to reascend the talus-laden sub-summit and then descend grassy Class 1 slopes to the trail.
