Route: From San Isabel Creek Trailhead

Info: The Crestone mountains got snow last night, which continued into today. It was still snowing when I made it down at 2pm. I'm guessing no more than 2-3" total, but: snow! Microspikes were helpful ascending and descending the ridge below treeline, but not mandatory.

Route: Hermit Pass loop of 13062-13060-13028
Posted On: 2021-08-22, By: IHikeLikeAGirl
Info: Gorgeous day, easy ridge between 13060 to 13028. Descended to Mas Alto Lake, through grassy breaks in the cliffs, and down to Rito Alto Lake, where we picked up a trail all the way back up to the pass. We debated descending the ridge to the North Fork Crestone trail (to save some elevation loss/gain), but I couldn't see enough of the ridge to tell if the difficulties could be bypassed. Marmot72's report has some good beta on the ridge, wish I had read it more closely before this trip.
Route: East ridge

Info: Did a loop with 2 other 13ers from high camp in San Isabel creek. The east ridge direct route was great, quality scrambling on conglomerate rock. We didn't skip or bypass any towers and it went at C4 or 5.fun. Register is still in great shape. Rito Alto lake is beautiful, wildflowers are at peak, so are the mosquitos.

Info: Summer conditions. The water is fairly high, so expect to get wet feet. The grass is pretty high on the trail at times.
