Route: From Grizzly E

Info: From Grizzly E's summit follow the ridge connecting to 13,140 B (the 13,140's on the site are incorrectly labeled; there's two 13,140s without letters, this one is 13,140 B, the one labeled 13,140 B is actually C, and C is actually D) on talus and through a couple snow patches until you reach a broad saddle with an obvious route into the basin with 13,140 B. I glissaded this then hiked across the basin until below a long dirt/scree/talus gully that leads to the ridge just below the summit. This bypasses a bunch of rotting towers on the ridge. The gully is quite obviously horrendous to climb, but it was easy enough with microspikes. I wouldn't recommend going without traction, the hardpan was darn near impossible to get up before I put my spikes on. Climb all the way up the gully to the ridge, you should be right next to the start of the towers. Turn left and climb loose dirt, talus, and boulders (Class 2+) to the summit. I reversed my route down the gully (no spikes on descent) and then crossed the large rock glacier in the basin and went into the forest, following the drainage back to the Timberline Trail. No surprises in the forest on descent. The gully is obviously the crux of this route and most people only go down it, but it goes in both directions.
