Info: We made it up there in a Honda Accord. There is 4 decent dips that you got to hit carefully. One scruff up and one scruff down, good enough for me. Decent number of people camping at trailhead.

Info: Dry to the TH...a few large puddles in the road, but with careful driving most cars should make it to the TH.

Info: Gate at Ashcroft is open, so you can drive up to this one, and, if you have a lifted/stout 4x4 vehicle you can go to the start of the TH. I drove through several drifts to make some tracks.

Info: Probably best to have a high clearance vehicle, there are few water bars that could give a low clearance car trouble. Also, I slept in my car overnight with no issues.

EDIT: I was back at this trailhead on 6/22. Several 2wd lower clearance cars were in the parking lot. So not impossible if you have a car, just be careful going over the 2 or 3 rough spots.

Info: Gate was open & road looked dry as far up as I could see from the paved road.

Info: TH in great shape. A little rocky but easy 3/4 mile of 2WD unpaved road off the Castle Creek Road just past Ashcroft. No snow on trail up to lake except a couple step over or around piles.

Info: Closed at Ashcroft. Road was bone dry to the dirt road turnoff. The dirt road was partially snow covered but probably passable for 4WD to TH.

Info: Mostly clear of snow up to the switchbacks just below the lake. Lots of snow above that point. Also, just blow the switch backs the trail gets a little tangle in avy debris.

Info: Pretty much like last week. A little less snow coverage despite new snowfall. Slightly icy in spots.

Info: Got my 2wd Honda Fit to the trailhead - although snow tires might have made it a bit more boring.
