Awesome, how long do you think the couliers will be good?

Somebody call a doctor...

because this TR is just plain sick.

Way to put the nemesis to rest and grab some slick photos in the process.

That view of Thunder from UN 13722 is sobering...

Thanks for the comments, guys! It was a great day out.

Kushrocks- Predicting how long couloirs will be in is not an exact science as it varies widely by aspect, range, recent weather trends, etc. I wouldn't expect there to be many lines left beyond May other than east and north facing aspects unless we get significant snow soon. Even the Elks are way below normal. Getting by without snowshoes in April in the Elks is a rarity!

nicely done

Kevin, thanks for the report and the good times on the mountain! And for kicking the majority of the steps up the couloir!

This trip was one of my most exhausting in recent memory! With only ~3hrs sleep the night before, which was coming from a ~18hr day of being awake, and then my lack of mtn' hiking/climbing this month, well, it kicked my ass!
On the summit, I only took 2 pictures! The hike out was long too.

But still another great day in the mountains!
