Throwback to #14 Mt. Lindsey

The landslide that had just recently been cleared from the road. I still parked here and took my mountain bike up as far as I could.

Left the mountain bike here. If I remember correct it was just a little passed the standard trailhead.

Mine shaft on your right as you hike up.

First look at Mt. Lindsey on the left

Mt. Lindsey on the right and Iron Nipple on the left as you get closer.

On the ridge approaching Mt. Lindsey. I took the standard route up the gully on the left that has some snow in it.

In the gully. Very loose rock and easy to send baseball sized rocks down at high velocity on the down climb so be aware of anyone in the gully below you. A late fall hike for me this day so I did not have to worry about that as there was maybe 3 or 4 other hikers the whole day and had plenty of space between us all.

Upper gully. A little climbing, no exposure but loose and steep.

Summit views with Mt Blanca in the middle

I thought that was a cool high altitude pond and zoomed in on it from the summit

Going back down looking at Iron Nipple.

Going back down the trail

Fun mountain bike ride back to the car I parked here right next to the landslide. I guess the ranchers were not too happy with me parking here and left a sarcastic note to inform me. Something like "Thanks for parking here we ranchers really appreciate it". So don't park here but sure looked like a great spot.
