Weve bagged Quandary Pk. last Sunday (06/19).
This time we used Cristo Couloir, aka "stright up" (from Blue Lake dam).
Much of the trail itslef is covered with snow, but you can hike either
left (west) or right (east) along that snow.
We used the west side on the way up.
Some times we had to go as far west as the ridge itself - Wow! What views!
Hiking this way we had to cross pretty steep snowfield though.
I was a little nervous doing it without snowshoes and ice axe (like someone before us did ;) ).
We met several people on the summit while enjoying the views.
They came from all of the directions, which proves all the trails are open.
We choose the other way going down - no snowfields to cross.
Here is more or less how it looked:
(Red - going up, yellow - going down, white - snow)
